Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools in order to give them an added bonus or a special effect, when they are in use. They can be acquired through crafting, bought from vendors or the trading post, looted, or received as a reward. Some upgrades have additional cosmetic effects. Upgrade components are classified into two categories - universal and type restricted. Universal upgrades, such as gemstones, are able to be placed in any kind of equipment, while types-restricted upgrades, like inscribed items, need to be placed in specific kinds of items to unlock their bonuses.
The majority of upgrade components can be recovered from the equipment they are currently installed in, but some are only salvageable with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Ascended armor or legendary gear could contain upgrade components that can only be recovered with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Tool. Upgrades that have already been included in an item aren't able to be swapped out for another upgrade of the same type. Glyphs can be swapped easily in and out of collecting tools.
Glyphs are able to be replaced by other glyphs similar to the type, while any upgraded item will display the name of both its original upgrade and the upgraded version in its hover text. Inscriptions add their own name to the item they modify, and can be viewed by right-clicking on the upgraded weapon or piece of equipment.

Glyphs
Glyphs are the symbols of a font that can be activated to offer additional text features. They usually are based on icons or other symbols visually related to the idea they represent, however, they could be totally abstract. Glyphs are defined by Unicode which assigns a specific code to each symbol and allows them to be referenced in different fonts. Some glyphs come in multiple forms, including small caps and swashes. Certain glyphs have only one form, for instance the capital letter A. The Glyphs Panel has an option to search that allows you to filter by a glyph's name, CID or GID or Unicode value. You can also make use of the context menu of the glyph to create a new character or alter the glyph.
The context menu in the Glyphs Panel lets you choose a font to be used for glyphs in a set. You can also choose to save a particular font when adding a glyph. The Glyphs Panel displays the font selection for glyphs that are associated with more than one font.
The glyph metrics of a font influence the layout of text. A glyph, for instance could have a width which is the length it takes to get to the end of a font. The glyph could also have side bearings, which are white space on the right or left sides of the font. These side bearings can be known as kerning and affect how the glyph is displayed in the document.
Glyphs may be upgraded in the Nightmare Dungeons by visiting the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The Glyph Upgrade Altar will be revealed after a certain amount of time has passed in each Nightmare Dungeon. The Glyph Upgrade altar allows players to use their Glyph XP earned from running the dungeon. It also increases the number of all Paragon Board nodes within its radius.
The hero can add stat bonuses for each glyph to his total. These bonusses can help you decide which glyphs you want to upgrade and where to place them on the Paragon Board.

They can also click the dice icon next to each case file to reroll it.
The game's reroll token system is not very good. It is a waste of time and money for players. It is time to replace it with an alternative that is free and doesn't require any form of payment. Offering players a free token to reroll and making it simpler to change their builds would make it easier to keep the players.
Reroll tokens can be exchanged for many different items in Token Shop. These include Rerolls, resets of the skill tree and much more.
